Skydance Paramount Plans to Remove Around 2,000 United States Roles – Report

Skydance Paramount will begin large-scale job cuts beginning on 27 October, eliminating about 2,000 positions in the United States within a budget-saving initiative worth $2bn overseen by CEO David Ellison.

The layoffs follow the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed during August with a value of $8.4bn.

More international job cuts are anticipated, as the firm planning to disclose all specifics during its third-quarter financial update on 10 November.

Earlier reports had indicated that Paramount aimed to reduce from 2,000 to 3,000 jobs by early November.

By December 2024, Paramount had nearly 18,600 full- and part-time employees along with 3,500 temporary project employees.

Paramount Skydance has not yet commented regarding the report.
