A Pair of Suspects Formally Indicted with Inmate Homicide of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges in the wake of the jailhouse death of one-time Lostprophets vocalist and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.
Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 stand indicted for homicide and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, per law enforcement officials.
Watkins, forty-eight, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after admitting a string of sex offences which included the effort to sexually assault an infant.
Watkins was taken into custody following a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were confiscated.
